WFCT is a non-profit making voluntary organisation providing safe, accessible and reliable minibuses on a self-drive use basis at competitive prices.
WFCT offer expert advice in vehicle purchase, minibus permits, fleet management, transport planning, safety issues and vehicle brokerage.
General Information
- All vehicles are covered by Relay and Roadside assistance with Autohome
- Our office hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm but our vehicles are available 24 hours a day, 364 days a year.
- Over 142 groups are registered with WFCT and we have assessed and trained over 3000 drivers.
Driver Training Assessments
Every driver will need to know how to look after their passengers and the vehicle they use. Every potential driver will:
- Drive a minibus on a pre-determined route around the Borough;
- Read a number plate from 67 feet;
- Complete pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety;
- learn about passenger handling
Separate training is available on passenger lift training and wheelchair clamping. WFCT offer up to 5 hours of practice and tuition free of charge for drivers who have little or no experience in large vehicles and may feel nervous. Assessments take approximately 1.5 hours
